Best Edition Under Sean's Protection (Northern States Pack Book 3) with FREE EASY Reading!

I reread the first two Northern States Pack books recently, so I didn't have to catch up on the background (I don't recommend reading them back to back, there are too many continuity errors, ok, it's just Cam. Cam's personality, motivations, behaviors and entire life, basically, makes no sense over all 3 books.). This whole series has taken place over something like six weeks so far, and the first two books also took place over just a few days, so a three day story isn't too fast. But I've been waiting for Sean and Kyle's story for a long time, and the romance was lacking. It was definitely a case of "me alpha, Imma bite you," without getting to know one another. Kyle showed great strength of character and courage in Cam's Promise and was the abused delicate flower in his own book, which was disappointing. As much as the book talked about Kyle and his mother being strong, it showed them as fragile and weak, with no ability to make decisions of their own. And I had a hard time believing in Sean, the Council assassin, when he leaped to conclusions, didn't discuss anything with anyone ever, and never followed his instincts. Also, characterizing him as sensitive made it seem like that was the cause of him behaving that way, which I don't believe was intentional.Anyway, the story progressed at a rapid clip, even though I have questions about, well, everything. Still, if you turn your brain off and just go with it, it's a fun ride. I am looking forward to Newton's Law, though, and hopefully they will both remain the strong characters they've been so far in the series.
